The Ensemble Uraitanaru is founded in the spring of 1971, gathering some of the quartets around Mr.Fukashi Oki who was a former teacher of the Gakugeidai University. Those people who love music with their heart and soul, including the graduates from conservatories have organized The Ensemble Uraitanaru.

Its repertoire reaches from the baroque to romantic and even to contemporary music. We have been playing with our music concept, which is not held by amateurs or professional musicians.

We have been giving you two concerts a year from 1981 and gaining popularity from over the people young to old.

What does gUraitanaruh mean? It sounds like Russian, but it is not. It is a totally pure Japanese. hUraitahmeans gthe back board of violinh and gnaruh means g to soundh.
To get the sound of gUraitanaruh we have to spend a long period of time rehearsing with enthusiasm and get into the string.

Please come over and enjoy yourself to listen whether gUraitah is sounding or not!!
